Advancement
Advancement is a cornerstone of the Scouting journey. It challenges Scouts to set tangible goals and diligently work towards them. Through this process, they learn perseverance, discipline, and the value of hard work. Each rank and badge achieved is not just a symbol but a testament to knowledge gained and challenges overcome. This systematic progression equips Scouts with skills and experiences that are invaluable throughout life. It instills a lifelong mindset of personal development and continuous learning. Scouts first advance through ranks, Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class by learning skills in a wide variety of Scouting, Outdoor, Health and Personal topics. Once a scout earns First Class, they can move on to the so called Honor ranks, Star, Life and Eagle, by showing leadership in both the Troop and the community. Scouts must actively lead their Troop, teach younger scouts and support the community with volunteering and their Eagle Project, a project developed and led by the Scout to benefit people in their area.
